Trainee Information

The Northern Oesophago-Gastric Unit has an excellent reputation for training. As well as trainees from the Northern Deanery, frequently there are post CCT fellows from the UK and internationally. There are strong links with the Australian and New Zealand training programme (ANZGOSA), and trainees will obtain extensive experience in the breadth of Oesophagogastric disorders.

In addition NOGU surgeons host a prestigious annual course at the fantastic Northern Surgical Training Centre (http://www.nstcsurg.org/)  based at the Freeman Hospital. The course is aimed at higher surgical trainees, fellows and consultants wishing to consolidate and learn new skills for carrying out Oesophagogastric surgery. For enquiries about the next course and to book places contact louise.sore@nuth.nhs.uk.
